The Hermosa Beach Friends of the Library, in partnership with the Hermosa Beach Museum, is thrilled to launch 2025: The Year of Local Authors with an exciting panel discussion on January 30th, 2025, from 6:00–8:00 PM.
This inaugural event, Hollywood Stories, brings together two celebrated authors: Jim Fredrick, author of Opening Weekend: An Insider’s Look at Marketing Hollywood’s Hits and Flops, an entertaining dive into the highs and lows of Hollywood’s most talked-about releases. Chris Nashawaty, author of The Future Was Now: Madmen, Mavericks, and the Epic Sci-Fi Summer of 1982, a nostalgic exploration of the groundbreaking sci-fi films that shaped pop culture.
