Event Description:
Join us at the Hermosa Beach Museum for a festive look back at world-renowned decorative tile from Hermosa dating to the 1920s and 1930s, then create your own work of art! At this workshop, you can be inspired by an exclusive look at beautiful tile samples from our collections to create your own masterpiece coaster or refrigerator magnet using a blank tile and art pens. Visitors will also have a chance to hear about T.C. Prouty’s Proutyline tile factory, which served as one of the earliest industries in Hermosa between 1922 and 1937.

All ages are welcome any time between 12pm and 2pm on Saturday, December 20; a brief presentation on the history of Proutyline Tile will begin at 12:15pm. We look forward to seeing you there!
