Roustan: Artist Talk

Before You Are Who You Think I Am closes, join us for an intimate Artist Talk and Closing Reception with body-paint artist and photographer Roustan. Throughout this exhibition, Roustan has invited viewers into the charged space between perception and reality — where the nude body becomes a canvas for story, power, insecurity, projection, and transformation. For this final evening, he steps out from behind the lens and brush to speak directly about the work. Roustan will share what drives his practice, how individual pieces came to life, and the deeper ideas that thread through the show — identity, empowerment, vulnerability, and the cultural reflexes that shape how we see the body. He’ll discuss specific works on view, unpacking the symbolism, the collaboration with his models, and the quiet trust that anchors each image.
